Limited
Editions were introduced in 2000 and use wrapper
leaves from the upper levelsof a shade grown plant which are
younger, thicker and full of oils. They naturally produce
darker colours after curing and their thickness demands that
they should be fermented longer, which further enriches the
colour. Also, to avoid an overbearing taste, they need to
be aged in bales for at least two years before they can be
used on a cigar.
Two more unique features make Habanos Limited Editions special - the first is that they are made in six leading long filler, totally hand made brands: Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Partagas and Hoyo de Monterrey& H.Upmann. And the second is that in every release the cigarsare a
different size from any other standard cigar in the brand’s
range. At the same time the cigars also carry a second band
underneath the usual one identifying that it is a Limited
Edition cigar. |
