Limited Edition 2009

Since 2000, Habanos s.a. has been releasing Limited Editions within the most prestigious brands

The Limited Edition is characterized by cigars that don't exist in the habitual range of the brand, and in addition to the special care in their elaboration, as a more distinct feature, incorporate a very careful selection of a two years aged wrapper, thus giving it a more pronounced color than the usual wrappers of Habanos.

The Limited Edition distinguishes itself for the inclusion of sizes which are not part of the usual range of the brand, and is characterized by a special manufacture. The careful selection of a two-year aged wrapper from the upper level of the plant grants it a darker color and turns this product into something unique. Binder and filler leaves used for the making of the Limited Editions cigars have been aged for two years as well. Because of its very special features, the Limited Edition is manufactured in small quantities, which makes it a particularly appreciated pleasure for the most demanding smokers.

The Limited Edition is characterized by consisting of some really reduced quantities, within the line of Habanos S.A. to facilitate very exclusive products for the most demanding smokers.

Limited Edition 2006

Limited Editions were introduced in 2000 and use wrapper leaves from the upper levelsof a shade grown plant which are younger, thicker and full of oils. They naturally produce darker colours after curing and their thickness demands that they should be fermented longer, which further enriches the colour. Also, to avoid an overbearing taste, they need to be aged in bales for at least two years before they can be used on a cigar. Two more unique features make Habanos Limited Editions special - the first is that they are made in six leading long filler, totally hand made brands: Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Partagas and Hoyo de Monterrey& H.Upmann. And the second is that in every release the cigarsare a different size from any other standard cigar in the brand’s range. At the same time the cigars also carry a second band underneath the usual one identifying that it is a Limited Edition cigar.
